The Cathedral

With a short nod to Mai, Noel had jumped out of her hiding place the moment the bluenette attempted to restrain the Major. Her hands were glowing, her mouth moving as if speaking an incantation to signal that she was about to apply the restraining ars to bind Jin, to keep him safe.

"I'm sorry for this, Major." she thought as she released the ars "I really am."

Without saying a word, Mai gestured Ragna to run and get to the door as she had to recover from being shoved away by the Major. Once she did, however, she was pleased to see that the restraint worked and she pulled out her swords to point them at the neck of Jin Kisaragi.
Briefly, he wondered what Ragna was thinking when he called Noel "Saya", but it seemed like he didn`t forget about the time the two of them met up- back then, Mai didn`t have a clue she would meet the guy like this years later. Or that she would have to hold one of her friends on the floor with two blades pointed at him.
"Noel, can you call for backup quickly? I`m not sure how long i can hold this guy down like this... or if i can at all. " Didn´t she mention something about Captain Hazama earlier before she got lost in the building? Maybe he could help.

"Ragna! You sonofa-"

Lusec happen to wander around the Cathedral, but was a little too late to have seen the action, or anything at all. Though he was more surprised when he saw Mai holding down Major Kisaragi.
What the hell happened?
Either way, he couldn't let Ragna escape now that he saw him. Then again, the fact that his co-worker/peer was holding down Jin...
Lusec stood in the middle of the room holding his black gunblade, changing glances at Mai holding down Jin, and Ragna, who was about to escape. He was conflicted with choices.

"S-Saya?"

Noel Vermillion blinked a bit in surprise at what the SS Class Criminal called her. She wondered what he meant by those words, thinking deeply on them and questioning why Ragna the Bloodedge seemed so familiar to her. She was sure she saw him somewhere before, but she could not seem to put a finger on it.

She then turned to see Jin, who had been pinned down by her restraining ars. She felt a slight chill go through her spine when he said those harsh words, but was able to keep her composure. She still had one question she was going to ask him later: "Why, Major? Why did you go AWOL like that?"

She was about to do just as Mai requested when she saw a man she recognized as Lusec Misaki of the 4th Division, the same division that she and Jin helm, enter the scene.

She sighed in relief then, glad that there was SOMEONE in the Kagutsuchi headquarters at all, as it was completely devoid of people the entire time she was here. She then glanced at Mai, who was holding down the Major, then to Ragna's leaving back.

There were so many questions in her mind, but she knew which one she wanted to ask first.

"Warrant Officers Natsume and Hisaki, kindly escort Major Kisaragi to the nearest medical bay at once." Noel said as she drew Bolverk, her eyes filled with grim determination which showed in as she uttered the final line she gave them before running off before giving them a chance to stop her:

"I'm going after Ragna the Bloodedge."

"Understood."

Was all Lusec could say. Inside, he was gritting his teeth, clenching his fists so hard that it might break. He wanted to chase down Ragna and put him down now that he knows he's this close.

But he had orders, and he couldn't disobey it.
He then went to Mai's side and helped her out in restraining Major Jin. He still had a lot of question to ask to her... later.

(Try to follow the posting order, Lusec. Ragna probably left the topic now and Noel too, but right now its Jin´s turn, after that mine, then yours since you entered the topic last.)

(Well, now that Jin is in the holidays, i`m going to go ahead and skip him. He`s pinned down anyway.)

Mai stared at the sight of her friend who was running after the renegade, and her jaw dropped.
"Noel!! Are you crazy?! He`ll kill you!" She screamed, but to no avail. Mai sighed- she had her orders, nothing to say about that. It didn`t matter if she liked them or not- orders were orders, and Noel was of a higher rank than her.
She looked over to the man who appeared out of seemingly nowhere and figured he had to belong to Noel`s division as well, as they instantly recognized each other.
"What... what do we do now? We`ll have to call backup..."

"I think that won`t be necessary, Officer Natsume. Good work." Said a smooth voice, belonging to a man who just came up behind one of the pillars. Holding onto his hat, Hazama smiled and nodded to himself. "Yes, thats a good catch. Mission accomplished, Miss Vermillion... don`t worry about it, Officer, Lieutenant. That Ars will automatically call a transportation unit who`ll get him out of here... but, i wonder what will happen to the Vermillion?"
He took looked after the door both Ragna and Noel disappeared out of, and briefly wondered if this was any different than all the other times before. They didn`t have another chance after this one- if Vermillion would screw things up, they were toast, big time. Maybe he should intervene afterall... but that´d be bad karma, won`t it?

"Should we go after her, Sir?" Lusec said, not sure who he was but knows he's a high-ranking officer by the way he dresses and the way he addressed him. He was rather concerned for his superior, so he added "She might not be powerful enough to take on the likes of Ragna..."

Can she really hold herself against him? He wondered. He then realized that he wasn't wearing his uniform, and prayed that the two wouldn't have noticed it.

Hazama shook his head with a smirk.
"You`re courageous, but no. That girl wields a Nox Nyctores- she might be young but she´s got the proper equipment to tackle this sort of threat. You two don`t. I´ll handle things from here... Major Kisaragi will be transported shortly. In the meantime, get a coffee or something. Dismissed."

Mai blinked a few times, disbelieving this was happening. "Huh?"
Well, okay. Orders were orders...
"Well then, i suppose we`ll go and look for the remaining people here, thats still a mystery to me why no one´s around. And, uh..."

"Why aren`t you in uniform, Officer?" Hazama took the words out of her mouth.

"Guh! Well, u-umm... Err... Because..." Lusec stammered for a moment before he took Mai's hand and dashed away. "Hey, Mai, let's go get that coffee!"

Whilst he went away with Mai, he had the same thought as hers. He then spoke up after he'd made sure they were in the clear. "I still think she might not take him on."
Was it because he still doesn't trust her? Or was it because he wanted to go in there himself and fight him? He wasn't sure, but the latter was more probable for him.

Mai widened her eyes as she was just tugged away, her hand grasped by the officer she didn`t know all that well and she was forced to go along.
"Thats true. But Noel is something else- She might not have to fight him at all." Mai answered, somewhat mystifying it. "Besides, he`s right, you know. The man is killing armies on his own- armies consisting of soldiers like you and me. What difference would it make?"
Mai knew of Ragnas power, to some extent, having witnessed it- back in the acadamy days, he was the strongest man she knew, next to Jin Kisaragi.. and back then he didn´t have a sword or the kind of experience he must have by now.

Absentmindly, she followed Lusec along, still wondering why he didn´t wear his uniform.

Lusec removed his hand from Mai's before she lead him back to his quarters.

He sighed. "I guess you're right. Still, to leave one to deal with one... We could help her out, you know."
Maybe he was in over his head. He never knew the guy, and rumors about him killing off armies like nothing...
He also saw the reports about how divisions and platoons got decimated by this one man.

Was he really that powerful?
"We can have some coffee in the place I'm staying. It's been awhile since I've seen anyone here." he said.

Mai shook her head, smiling to herself.
"Don`t worry about a thing. If anyone can handle him right now, its Noel. She`s different."

She then blinked, and twitched as he suggested that. Its been a while, but she was still aware of the implications- after years of sharing a room with Shiori Kirihito, she´d been a bit sensitive in that area.
"Are you asking me out, Officer?"

"I sure hope so." Lusec said, literally hoping Noel could even put up a fight with her. "Maybe its because I don't trust her so much..." he thought aloud.

That one got him to blush on his cheeks. "What? No! U-Umm... I j-just... want to talk... since there's actually no one here ever since I arrived." he said, repeating what he pretty much said. "And I have to go change to my uniform, too."

Mai noddd, and exhaled quietly. "Okay. The only other times i`ve been asked that is when some idiot wanted to ask me out, so... yes, why not."
She walked alongside him, slowly relaxing and calming down again.
Noel would handle things herself- unlike Lusec, she trusted Noel to the full extent and intended to see her again.

In the meantime, Hazama began to grin as he was alone with the unconcious Jin Kisaragi.
"Well, well, well... seems like its turning out pretty nice in this phase. And if Noel Vermillion is doing her part, things will turn out even more interesting~"
Finishing a text report to the base, he had called for a support team to get rid of Kisaragis body- who knows what they could do with the power of order, right?- then he turned away, and vanished in the shadows.
"Lets see how it turns out~"

Lusec slapped a palm to his face. "We just met, umm... Mai. I don't ask out people whom I just met. Not like I asked anyone out yet before." Lusec mumbled the last sentence as he opened the door to his room.

"Well, here we are." he said, quickly walking towards the kitchen and making themselves a cup of coffee.

Lusec wrote:

(Okay seriously. I´ve got no idea how to proceed here.
A: I don´t know where we are. Here, apperantly, but where is here? "His room"- your house? The Kagutsuchi Branch? Because:
A1: You don´t belong in the Kagutsuchi branch.
A2: The Kagutsuchi branch has been evacuated and prepared as a trap for Ragna the Bloodedge.
A3: Low ranking officers wouldn´t have their own offices, and they don´t live in the branch.
A4: Since we don´t belong to the branch, you wouldn`t live in this city either.

B: I don`t know what you´re planning to do. Drinking coffee on duty? While a criminal is on the loose? I know Hazama told us to leave Ragna to the professionals but that doesn`t mean we can just go slack off or something, we`ve still got a job to do. And although Kagutsuchi isn`t our jurisdiction, we could still keep it safe OR ask the headquarters for further orders.

C: Why the hell aren`t you in uniform on the job? )

(A:Hmm, from what I read in the description, it said "some people has bunks here" or something, so I thought there'd be individual rooms for people who lives, or at least, used to live there. Lusec is in one of them.
A1: He got transferred there, for reasons even Lusec doesn't know.
A2: He did not know that the place was evacuated. He just received a letter saying he is to transfer to Kagutsuchi and there he was.
A3: Oh...
A4: ^

B: Slacking, yes, since Hazama said so. And he wanted to get dressed in uniform.
C: Because he was slacking and thought he had the whole branch for himself.)

Mai looked at him, and looked around... uhm, yeah. She seriously hoped Noel would meet up with her expectations this time... because if she didn´t....
No, she wouldn´t think of that. It wasn´t the time or the place to grief about friends who haven´t had anything happen to them yet.
"So.. what happens now? We drink coffee i assume. Or, at least, you do. ...uhm, can i make the coffee? Just to be safe."

"Sure," Lusec nodded. "I'll need to get changed before we head out again, anyway."
With that, he took his clothes and went to the bathroom.

Minutes later, he came out wearing his NOL uniform and looking fresh as he took a quick shower.

"Damn...that took long."

In her absentmindedness, Kokonoe forgot that she could simply teleport into the Cathedral. Instead, she ended up walking all the way from Orient Town, a feat that exhausted her due to her lifestyle as a shut-in.

"I forgot...*gasp*why I hated walking so much..." She supported herself on the wall, breathing heavily as she scanned the area, refusing to let her mind go dull despite the fatigue.

"Anyway, I think it's time I did my end of the mission." she immediately sat cross-legged, put a catnip lollipop in her mouth and opened her device, opening her comm line in hopes of contacting her field agents. As she sat, she could not help but notice that the HQ was practically empty.
