Name: Relius Clover
Gender:Male
Age: Over 100 due to Boundary interference, looks to be in his late 40s.
Race: Human
Appearance: Relius Clover has spiky hair, colored somewhere between grey, brown, and white. That's about the only apparent facial feature he has, as the rest is obscured behind his golden opera mask, concealing the way he looks. What little of his face is revealed is the only skin he shows, the entire rest of his body is covered by his purple suit, white pants, cape, boots, and gloves. This concealment builds a sense of inhumanity about him, only exacerbated by his rather sociopathic tendencies. (Two paragraphs at the least, in this section describe what your character looks like as well as any clothing that they wear.)
Loyalty: NOL, but mostly to himself and his pursuit of the perfect human being. (The faction or person that your character is loyal too. You could even be loyal to only yourself.)
Personality: He is a sociopath. Nothing matters to him aside from his goal, the creation of the perfect human being. Even when he speaks to other people and attempts to hide this true nature, no matter how polite he is or how amiable he might seem, an inkling of his true nature leaks through. His common belief is that humans are mere objects, possessing a base value that needs to be measured against the value of their life, and to him, most are found wanting. While he can be sadistic on occassion, the main source of his motivations and actions lie in cold dispassion. The expansion of science and the creation of the perfect human are his goals, and there is not one thing that exists that could be more important to him than that, not morals, not gods, and certainly not his family. (One paragraph at the least.)
Weaponry: Flux Redactum: Ignis, along with assorted gadgetry, primarily mechanized human arms. (Note that Armagus all have one name, Nox Nyctores have two and Imitation Phenomenon Weapons have none at all. Also note that Nox class weapons are limited to their canon users.)
Abilities: Relius Clover has a brilliant mechanical mind, which he put to work creating a series of gadgets and tools to help him fight against people who would normally be far stronger than him. However, his greatest strength lies in his greatest creation, Ignis. The puppet he controls is horrifyingly powerful, and with it, he is able to stand up to people such as Valkenhayn, Rachel, and Hakumen. He possesses a fundamental understanding of magic, and while he is unable to wield it himself, has designed Ignis to be resistant to it's effects. (No godmodding. Period.)
History: Relius Clover was once merely a scientist, albeit a genius one, working with the likes of Yuki Terumi and Shuichirou Ayatsuki, set to work discovering the true nature of the Cauldron, and the Boundary that lay on the other side. He was the one that created the Prime Field Devices, including the one that would become Amaterasu. During the creation of Amaterasu, the Cauldron erupted, releasing the Black Beast, and sending him crashing forward in time.
When he awoke, he found himself with much of his memory missing, but in the presence of his old friend, Yuki Terumi...but a very different Yuki Terumi than he remembered. A black and green ghost made himself known to him, and together, they began hatching a plan. Relius created the artificial body for Terumi's new form to reside in, and set about the construction of the remaining 12 Prime Field Devices after Amaterasu. During this time, he also married and had a family, his wife, Ignis, his son, Carl, and his daughter, Ada.
After living that life, he made a rather messy break with it all. In the pursuit of his goal, he sacrificed his daughter, Ada, for her soul in order to reconstruct the Nox Nyctores Deus Machina: Nirvana. Building upon the knowledge he gained by that experiment, he went on to use his wife's soul to create his signature weapon, Flux Redactum: Ignis. After this, the Puppeteer seemed to slink into the shadows, preferring to work on his projects and further progress the goals of the Librarium. (Two paragraphs at the least.)
RP sample: Guiding the reluctant Doctor Faye-Ling into his laboratory, Relius Clover flips a few switches, and then the entire floor begins moving. She had been convinced to join them out of the belief that he could restore Arakune to his original form...and he was going to sell his theories on that as best he could. Whether he ended up successful or not didn't matter in the slightest, but Litchi could prove a valuable ally.
"We have captured Arakune, and he is currently being used as an experimental subject to test how Kokonoe's Idea Engine functions. With his status as a copy of the Azure Grimoire, he is perfectly suited to the task." Holding up a hand to forestall her complaints, he nods. "Power from the Boundary is preventing him from dying, or else he'd have been gone long before he could have made it here. There should be no adverse effects on him, and if there are, he should be easily restored to his...current state."
"From what you've informed us about Arakune, Lotte's mind remains present, though rendered lost and adrift by the Boundary's sheer power. Normally, he would have no hope of overcoming it. But the Idea Engine is an enhanced version of a Causality weapon...and what is a Causality Weapon's purpose besides altering what is possible and what is not? I feel that the Idea Engine may be the key to allowing him to overcome his state, and regain his mind."
Opening the door to the lab, he stands aside to allow her to pass. It's not overly large, but steps on it ring hollow, and a switch makes it clear that there are multiple levels to the place. Stepping in behind her, he pulls one of the switches, and sets the lever to Lab One. The entire floor moves down to a new space, as if on an elevator, revealing a much larger area, the centerpiece being Arakune, confined within an oversized test tube. "And once the mind is restored, the difficult part is finished. You could say I am an expert when it comes to constructing bodies..." As if on cue, from inside the laboratory, his masterpiece, the Detonator, Ignis, looks up at the two new faces in the lab.
"I foresee little in the way of complications, so long as you help me with the particular natures of our subject. Now...what do you say?" (Here you show us how you can rp. An alternative option is to spar someone in an out of RP fight on this site and post the link to it here. This mainly applies to players unknown to us and doesn´t have to be long, but should be at least a paragraph in length. For all others, its optional, although highly recommended for those who apply for important canon characters.)
