Name: Youna Amanogawa (the spirit of her ring is named Florence)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Race: Human
Appearance: 160 cm, 46 kg.
Her hair is short and white, but she insists for it to point in slightly diagonal directions to look a bit more feminine. She has deep blue eyes. She has a modest frame but she's average-to-strong physically, which is better than she looks.
When Florence has control over her, a blue circle appears on her forehead, the inside is black and looks like a hole. Her eyes are also much duller as a message that Youna is lost (asleep, or too depressed to even think about taking control back from Florence). Though, who does know that...?
Clothing of choice: When casual, Youna normally wears a white blouse under a beige pullover, and a black skirt with white square patterns. She also has white knee-high socks along with very bland brown shoes. She carries her short sword hidden aside the box that contains her violin, the former hidden by the latter attacked to her back by a thin blue belt.
When on the job, she adopts a flashier outfit: she wears the same socks, but under blue short boots, and wears a frilly but short blue skirt with a white frilly lower outline. She also wears a white corset over a blue vest that serves as her cape. Under that vest, she hides her short sword and the violin (yes, she has to carry that thing everywhere).
Loyalty: Herself.
Occupation: Being a vigilante.
Personality: Despite her tomboyish looks, Youna is rather shy and quiet most of the time. She is rather stubborn about her desire to make the world better, but her ideals are maybe not so much the good of everybody: she tends to see everything in black and white, and anybody who is so much as stoic she naturally dislikes. Her principles also include her strong dislike of chauvinists and machos, to whom she'd happily deliver a beating. She's also rather naive about the world, or rather she was: her first month as a vigilante has taught her how hard a life she put herself in, and since she must be a vigilante to get the money she needs, she's starting to think love doesn't overcome anything and that she's being absolutely worthless if she can't even get a penny home. These ideas are much supported by Florence, but that makes Youna more and more depressive.
Florence, hidden right behind the corner of Youna's mind, is threatening, selfish, cunning, and uncaring. She has an air of aristocracy about her that her host doesn't carry. She is ready to do anything for another chance at overpowering her host and taking permanent control. It hides that she is desperate for attention, having been ignored since she's been sealed into this ring. She goes as far as to imitate Youna to meet her own ends, mainly being noticed and taking out the Imperator to seize the NOL for herself. Despite all of that, Florence is protective of her host (at least about fatal injuries), and dislikes having to rely on Youna's weakness to deceive people (She's much better at deceiving when Youna's not injured anyway).
Weaponry: She carries the ring that hosts Florence. It's probably a lower class of Armagus since its abilities other than hosting Florence are rather weak. It dates back to the Dark War.
Abilities:
- Healing Power: Her ring gives her a mild regeneration ability. Since Florence has been sealed within the ring for so long, she knows much better how to use it, and as such regenerates much faster. Florence is in fact invulnerable to dizziness and fainting. Youna takes said downsides herself.
Youna-only:
- Sword Wielding: Youna has undergone physical training, and she learned several sword techniques. Florence doesn't bother with said techniques, hence Youna's much better proficience with the sword. Even then, though, Youna isn't this good of a fighter.
- Playing the Violin: Youna has some skills in music. This is nowhere near useful in combat, and if anything, playing it in her normal condition makes her sad that she can't have her old life back.
Florence-only:
- Imitation: Florence is great at imitating Youna, faking an aristocratic accent, and she can easily identify and emulate the quirks of anyone she lays eyes on. The one thing Youna does good and she does bad at is the violin thing: Florence can't play the violin for jack.
- Energy Projection: Florence can manipulate the ring's energy into coherent balls or thin beams of energy. They in fact are "reverse-healing" beams, taking away the opponent's power by force, causing dizziness, and inevitable loss of consciousness if prolonged too much.
- Instincts: Florence has much better fighting habits than Youna, who is too much about the technique. Florence's fighting style is very basic and reactive in comparison to Youna being way too artistic.
History: Born from a middle-class family whose funds are lowering, Youna lived the beginning of her life normally, attending a normal school much like everybody. After the death of her twin sister at the age of 6 in an accident during a vacation, she became scared of the outside world. She's spent her childhood loving her violin-playing cousin, and as she learned to play the instrument, she also learned that the one she called the man of her dreams had gotten injured due to his extensive practicing. Originally, she meant to support him in the hospital by learning to play what he did, but it only made the boy sadder. Desperate, she decided to earn the money to pay an Ars-based operation for him, by becoming a vigilante. That would only mean that on top of earning money, she would be defending justice and helping the weak and the defenseless, right?
Wrong. To help in her quest, her family gave her a last thing: the ring she now wears. With it came having to live with another person in her head, who threatens to drive her mad or take over her any second, all that in exchange for necessary healing without which she would be less effective at her job (She can't pay for healing due to the fact that she's on her own and started from scratch).
Her despair has already led to Florence waking up twice: the first time was on her first bounty run, Youna having been defeated by the criminal she tried to catch. Florence nearly tortured the victim as retaliation and to vent out her frustration on having been sealed for so long. Youna could take control back the moment Florence was finished, catching the bounty but certainly not feeling like she deserved it. The second time was when she ran on another vigilante's turf and got beaten to a pulp as a consequence. Florence saved her host (again), but stopped the fight, asking why the victorious girl would even take on a fellow vigilante. The response interested her, and they planned to help each other in taking over the world: it was much easier for Florence to have someone help her out since Youna definitely wasn't a helpful host in that aim. Youna took back her control after a while of conversation, and promised she'd come back later to avenge her defeat.
Youna's ideals of love and justice are fazed by how hard she has to fight every single battle of hers, and each of her injuries, despite healing physically, does not ease the pain in her heart that is the toll of being an innocent little girl, fighting alone in this world without any return for what she's doing but hardship, and the threat of Florence's plans unfolding.
