He'd been hoping to reply in earnest, giving his best attempt at a fatherly smile as he uttered: "That would be... Good, Mika". Alas, like a shooting star the energetic girl launched out of the tea house with all the grace of a herd of rampaging bulls before he could speak. It was rather amusing seeing her be so spontaneous - she seemed to be the sort of person who grabbed life by the horns and didn't give a donkey's about planning. "Just like her." Carlyle muttered, gently placing a collection of brass coins onto the polished table top without a clatter.
He'd leave a tip for the young Jay, for old time's sake - and damages.
Who knew, perhaps he could use it to court a fine lady with flowers?
With the unmistakable scrape of wood on wood, the Sentinel rose from his seat with his arms clad within his mantle. He doubted anyone noticed as he slipped away, his rusted pendant jingling upon his chest - eager to get to work, and get through this day.
They'd talk later, after all.
