Name: Easy.
Gender: Female.
Age: 19.
Race: Uncertain Entity (Observer).
Appearance: Easy looks like a she should be younger than she is. Her pale skin is spotless, her chest and rear underdeveloped, her hair long and red-ribboned as though Mommy was going to take her to a nice family meal and wanted her to be presentable. But despite this, she is a grown woman of average height, with sometimes cruel, sometimes weary indigo eyes. Her long black-purple hair is spread out in a wide curtain, a few stray bangs swaying in front of her forehead, and two framing her face, while the rest sweeps down her back all the way to her hamstrings.
Easy possesses pianist's hands, smooth and nimble, and despite her often restricting choice of dress moves with surprising vitality; except when angry, at which times her movements become stiff and forced, her normally determined expression twisting into feral fury, showing her teeth.
Clothing of choice: Easy dresses in a style half-Gothic lolita, half-militaristic, with heavy boots and striped stockings under a frilled black one-piece dress, midriff-hugging belt, star-marked tie and white gloves. She also has red ribbons in her hair, just above her ears, and wears an ID card on a string around her neck which reads:
TAKAMAGAHARA AGENT SIX (6)
SPECIFICATION E.A.S.Y
AGE 19
Her shirt is snipped at the left bicep, leaving that arm exposed while covering her right arm.
Loyalty: Takamagahara, though not without hesitation. Easy despises being lorded over by the faceless committee.
Occupation: Easy is an observer, devoted to calculating all possible timelines and predicting when the next Continuum Shift will occur. Essentially, her duty is to watch the world end, over and over and over...
Personality: Easy is jealous, spiteful, and controlling. There is a feral side to her personality that anyone who has known her for any amount of time will testify to. Conflicting ideals frustrate her. Stupid people make her angry, and Easy has little in the way of sublimating her anger. Most people separate their personality into Ego, Superego, and Id; burying their spontaneous Id soon after birth, and channeling their natural furies into creative works. Easy never quite got around to that. If she's angry, she will say so; and the fact that her position as Observer renders her incapable of
killing those who anger her just makes her more angry.
That said, she does have calmer days, but even then she's tortured by constant headaches, trying to view every alternate timeline at once. On these days, she becomes vulnerable - almost sensitive - and the closest thing to 'social' she will ever be. A nice head massage might be good...
Weaponry: Easy stole her weapons from Takamagahara after their mysterious disappearance. These weapons are either experimental or intended for the self-defense of Observers, but Easy will use them however her wishes.
Ranged Artifacts 3.0: Tristram - A pair of retractable discs made of a strange, black, energy-based substance. They can be thrown at enemies, and upon contact disperse large amounts of energy into their bodies, knocking them backwards. The Tristram can break bones and cause serious bruises, but as not generally lethal weapons. Also, upon hitting an enemy, they automatically spin right back into Easy's hands. Even if they miss, they will find their way back into her possession.
Defensive Artifact 5.0: Aegis - A set of six small red nodes which hover in the air around Easy, moving in to deflect most low-to-medium-power attacks. After being struck, they vanish for a short period of time before materializing close to her again.
Alteration Artifact 4.0: Ambrosia - Ambrosia is a virus. A weapon engineered by Easy's ex-employers. Her entire right arm, the one covered by her shirt sleeve, and gloved hand, are consumed by Ambrosia, a sea of glowing, shimmering purple. Essentially, Easy can shape her arm any way she wants to, usually into tendrils; and anything it pierces experiences the effect of the virus: addiction. Ambrosia is a narcotic of immense potency. It weakens the knees and makes the body tremble, and enough of it can enslave the victim to her will, always desperate for more.
Execution Artifact 9.0: Janus - This weapon is highly experimental, and highly dangerous. It has two forms: the first of which creates two misty copies of Easy, each of whom can attack with punches and kicks of the same strength as the original. Furthermore, each copy wields a shortsword for slashing attacks, and moves much faster than Easy; but can be destroyed relatively easily, and cannot use seithr shields or her other weapons.
Mode 2, Malebolge effectively rips Easy's soul in two, creating a five-metre-tall, shadowy, werewolf-type monster glaring out on the world through violet eyes. It is covered in a thick shroud, its true form unknown besides the vaguely lupine shape of its mouth. In fact, its eyes are the only distinguished features of the creature. It is fast, frighteningly so, and can rip normal humans apart with its claw-hands as though they were sheets of paper. Flames rise from the sides of its slathering maw, and as it fights and kills indiscriminately, it
chews on Easy, holding her sideways in its mouth like a chewtoy; and the longer it fights, the more Easy is damaged.
Abilities: Easy possesses strength and speed uncharacteristic of her frame, able to break bones with punches and dodge most attacks; the latter due to the odd way in which she moves: seeming to slide across the ground, ignoring rules of friction when it suits the Observer's needs.
Like most combatants, she can conjure shields of seithr.
Like other Observers, Easy has a peculiar way of getting around, and has the means to transport herself to her own pocket universe: a long corridor lined with doors, each leading to a different place in the world, including Takamagahara.
Her universe is entirely dependent on the Takamagahara, and due to the committee's current crumbled state, her corridor is in a state of disrepair, too, and she cannot go to as many places as she could before.
History: Easy is an Observer, and has been one for as long as she remembers. She always disliked the probing nature of the Faceless Committee, as she called them, and did all she could to spite them while accurately following their commands. She got into trouble a few times for fighting with 'Temporals', but that was all part of the job for the well-dressed, cute little ball of anger. Observe, fight, get lectured, repeat. It became her life, cyclic, just like the timelines.
So, when the Takamagahara mysteriously disappeared, she was at a loss. What was an Observer to do when there was no Continuum Shift? Easy started to wander, and fight, and do all sorts of things that would have made the Faceless Committee wipe her from existence if they were still around. She still isn't sure where her allegiances lie. Maybe she'll just pick the fancier side...
