Name: Maju Akai
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Race: Human ("half-cyborg" since huge parts of her are actually robotized)
Family: None. They all died in the Ikarugan Civil War.
Appearance: Maju is a short woman with a rugged physique - to whatever parts of her are human: she hides her right arm in a long sleeve, and her left eye under bandages ever since those have been rebuilt. Despite being fair-skinned, its matte tint makes her Japanese ancestry obvious.
Her right arm is entirely mechanical, and as such is entirely grey. While her legs are mechanical too, their outward appearance blends in much more with the rest of her body, aside from one breach in the back that she can open to reveal impulse reactors.
Statistics:
Blood Type: B
Height: 160 cm (5'3")
Weight: 99 kg
Country of origin: Ikarugan Federation
Hair color: Pink (dyed from auburn)
Eye color: Dark brown (right eye only)
Clothing of choice: Maju wears over everything a long hooded purple cloak that veils everything about her but her almost-permanent scowl. Underneath it, she wears a white dress with a black plating over the chest and back. Since it's so loosely worn, a dark gold-colored spandex suit can be seen underneath it.
Loyalty: Sector Seven
Allignment: Chaotic Neutral, with Chaotic Good leanings
Occupation: Sector Seven Field Operative
Personality: Strong-willed and passionate, Maju is the persistent kind of person. She firmly believes in what cruel reality taught her and adopts a cynical view of most things. She highly dislikes idleness, and usually feels much better off picking a fight than staying in place and doing nothing. Her attention span is also extremely short, which means that she highly relies on first impressions to make herself an idea of people before ignoring, attacking or in the rare occasion befriending them.
Though, she isn't very good at dealing with people since she went the first foot forth in her journey of revenge, being inappropriately masculine in her language to signify her rough attitude. She has absolutely no sense of etiquette, making her a freak by any lawful standard. She has soft spots for some persons of whom she'd be an overly-protective big sister figure. She's also unable to think on long term due to her impulsive nature, which leads to her being unable to handle responsibility or follow any sort of convoluted plans. And this narrow-mindedness of hers makes her utterly closed to alternative options in the midst of battle. She is working to get past this flaw after her trauma, but old habits die hard.
She also has extreme regrets over killing, especially girls, as she is responsible for over twenty unmotivated murders which made her have a realization that she was getting as bad as what she fought.
Weaponry: Maju's main weaponry is her katana. She uses it ever since she fought in the Ikarugan Civil War, but it's now tainted by the clotted blood of her victims. If she does resort to show her affiliation to Sector Seven, she adds her robotized right arm and artificial Armagus sword to the list.
Abilities:
- Fist Fighting: Maju has slight notions of brawling with the little education in unarmed fighting she took back in her youth in Ikaruga. It only took a more prominent place following her reconstruction though.
- Sword Fighting: Trained in the Ikarugan Federeation as a swordfighter, she has high proficiency with her katana. Which also means that she can do well with her other sword, despite its different shape.
- Ki Attacks: Maju has also been trained to channel her body's energy to add power to her attacks. With a good part of her human body being gone now, her ki is much weaker than that of persons like Bang Shishigami.
- Innate Ars Proficiency: Maju is naturally proficient with Ars to the point that she was admitted in the Military Academy for this sole factor. Though she doesn't know much of Ars except using fire attacks and amplifying her own force.
- Robotic Eye: Maju's left eye is robotized, and therefore can run down analysis of enemies, giving her vague perception of the power level of anything in her sight. It also allows her, between other things, to analyze gunshot trajectories by merely looking at the barrel. It also has infrared vision, and it can receive informations from Sector Seven HQ.
- Robotic Arm: Maju's right arm is robotized, and has inbuilt weaponry to suit the situation. First, it has retractable hooking claws attached to a chain, to drag the opponents from distances. It also has a magnetic wave engine that can be used to add repelling force to her fist's blows. Her fist is also attached to the end of a pile bunker, allowing punches of extremely high strength.
- Robotic Legs: Though her legs' reactors are mostly used as mobility enhancements, they have an exhaust output that allows her to use the heat generated by the movements to attack. The reactors allow her quick propulsion and high jumping.
- Artificial Sword: This sword is at an equivalent level to Armagus. Using nuclear power instead of seithr is about the only difference between that and an Armagus. Its abilities are standard use of its power output, namely heating up and vibrating to increase cutting power. It can also evacuate the heat in short-ranged heat waves.
- Moves:
- - Sakura Gaeshi (Cherry Flip): Kicks a heat wave up, then slams her heated foot down.
- - Akama (Red Devil): A sword attack evacuating a stream of red flames.
- - Sekiren (Red lotus): Holds her sword in front of her, parrying an attack and using a ki-empowered quickdraw.
- - Kinyouzan (Golden Star Slash): A circular vertical slash empowered with heat from her sword.
- - Renken Nagi (Chained Fist Throw): Throws her chained hook at full length to drag an opponent to her.
- - Kamaitachi (Sickle Weasel): Uses her katana to slash that hooks the opponent's upper legs to trip them, followed by a straight forward slash to knock them away. She generally winds it up with the above attack's pullback momentum.
- - Ganmon (Gate of the Eyes): Dashes extremely fast for an almost invisible quickdraw slash. She has to wind up for this attack, which makes it very obvious to the trained eye.
- - Muzan (Nothingness Slash): An extremely fast katana quickdraw slash.
- - Distortions and Astrals:
- - - Chikou-shinken (Bloodred Godsword): Pulls out her heat blade and slashes quickly around her several times before going for an impaling strike and then taking the sword away in a rough way, causing an explosion while at it.
- - - Ren Nakkatsu (Lotus Summer Explosion): Charges her sword with heat, then slashes downward, creating a wave of flames that reaches a bit further.
- - - Kesshinzan (Determination Slash): Her enhanced version of Ganmon, which dashes faster and can be prepared much quicker due to her body going overdrive for a fraction of a second.
- - - Astral Heat: Shunjikiri (Almost-Instant Kill): Her variation of the cliché samurai slash. She slashes the opponent and dashes past them, but since her sword is explosive, when she claps it back, the enemy simply explodes.
History: Born in Ikaruga, Maju's childhood was nothing too great: orphaned at the age of 10 by her parents' suicide under political pressure. As Maju was adopted into a family of Ikarugan combatants, she trained ever since in an attempt to become strong like they were, strong enough to settle problems around her.
These ideals faded during the Ikarugan Civil War, where she saw the horror of war, and her mentality quickly descended to grim patriotism and a kill-all-NOL mindset. But even that wasn't enough, as hatred had blinded her to the danger that Jin Kisaragi posed: in one second, an icy blade along the ground sliced through her and the whole detachment she was part off, hacking off her arm. As she laid across the dead body, the image of Kisaragi fleeing and the rest of the NOL setting her hometown on fire engraved itself inside her mind. Anger consumed her will to die; and hours after, she could retreat, going to the city of Torifune clandestinely and living from stealing from visitors. She plotted revenge, and was looking for a way to cut the NOL's manpower at its source: the Military Academy.
A dozen of months later, she decided to join the Academy, putting her plan into motion. She was accepted because of her natural Ars abilities which allowed her to get admitted and therefore slip past the radars. The same night, she pulled out her sword from her baggage, and decided to enact her own twisted justice in her dormitory. She plunged her sword in one girl's stomach, impaling through her heart. And then did the same to the one by her side. And again. With each sword, the noises of the girls coughing their own blood until death scarred her mind some more and woke the others up. After her dormitory was empty, she was horrified by her own actions, and the alarms were ringing hell's bells in her head. She ran away, sneaking past everything and hiding until the next day, when she could flee the city by clandestinely boarding a ship to anywhere else.
Though, in doing so, she eventually ended up in the same city where the Hero of Ikaruga was known to work in. She decided to cut the knot and attack him directly rather than kill subordinates, but with one arm, she couldn't go far against him. He eventually won by impaling her eye and then kicked her away to the street. As she was almost dying, she heard some words from the lower-ranked NOL soldiers, talking about an enemy faction named Sector Seven. Her new aim was found: to become a true enemy to the NOL, she had to find them. Hearing about their famed Red Devil, she settled for finding and helping him as often as was physically possible. The first time she found him plowing through NOL forces, she jumped in the fray and defeated the NOL forces for him, to let him complete his mission fast. The second time she did the same didn't go so well, as she was expected to do the exact same thing she did, and as Tager ran to complete his mission again she was overwhelmed by the much stronger NOL force sent her way. She was bisected by the enemies she had before her, as her waist was ripped by her opposition. She had done good, but it was her end...
... or so she thought, she soon saw a laboratory ceiling. Where was she? She was too weak to turn her head. What remained of her? She didn't feel a thing. But as the lights came up, one pink-haired cat-eared silhouette came to her. And it was talking about what she had done, asking about her reasons. Of course Maju was a brain-dead NOL hater, which made a perfect tool for Sector Seven. Maju didn't care about any clause; as long as she contributes to the NOL's downfall, anything would go. It's then that her missing body parts were rebuilt in a new robotic weaponized body. This day, Maju ceased to be a woman. She had become a full-fledged fighter packing heat for Sector Seven's use.
